clean boot

Clean Boot

I have compleated several upgrades and have my recovery down cold. However I am unable to do a clean boot as vista will not reconize any of my hard drives. I have restored my raid drives to normal individual drives. I have downloaded from intel what i think are correct Raid controler drivers (82801FR SATA RAID CONTROLER). Any thoughts would be very helpful. I have full recovery capabilites so am willing to try almost anything. -- Jim F Norwood

hello if you find out how does one do a clean install without reinstalling xp first please help me.
I put in dvd after a reformat from xp but no dvd recognize. IF i do clean install it just makes a OLD windows folder is that norm? thought a clean is reformat then install

If you can get your DVD drivers on a Floppy and install with vista you might be OK -- Jim F Norwood

I have compleated many Vista upgrades and have system recovery down cold. I cannot do a Clean boot as Vista does not reconise my hard drives. I have reconfigured and reformatted my hard drives from RAID to standard indivual drives. I have downloaded and created floppy driver disc from INTEL. I have Intel 82801FR SATA RAID Controler, (4) SATA 400GB internal hard drives and (1) external USB 500GB hard drive. I have no problem with Recovery of System or Data. So I am willing to try almost anything. All thoughts would be very welcome. -- Jim F Norwood
